Hey everyone—just a heads-up that a new chapter of English Rose [The Jam x Reader] is in the works. Since we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Britain, this one’s going to be a Christmas chapter—yes, another Christmas one, but this one’s different. It’s set in December 1980, and it’s the band’s and Y/N’s first Christmas without John Lennon in the world. His absence is a quiet breach in the music scene, and it’s hitting Paul harder than he lets on. There’s tension in the air—he’s stressed, a little snappy, and carrying the weight of legacy on his shoulders.
This chapter won’t be all festive lights and cheer—it’s more reflective, more emotionally raw. Think early winter gloom, vinyl spinning in the background, and the kind of silence that feels heavier than snow. It’s about grief, memory, and how music tries to fill the space someone like Lennon leaves behind. Expect quiet moments, maybe a few emotional ruptures, and a lot of unspoken feelings between the band and Y/N. It’s not just about Christmas—it’s about legacy, loss, and how we ritualize the ones we’ve lost.
Thanks for sticking with this story. I promise this chapter will be a mythic one.

@VickyJames0 Honestly? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I was watching a Adam McIntyre video on YouTube he was watching a video of Trisha explaining the names and well I still can't tell you... I was trying to figure out what would possess someone to do that. Like I'm all for naming your kid's whatever you want but to name them Malibu and Aquaman (Elvis is at least somewhat relatively normal name sure not for a girl but still normal).
