Part 3
So when you make light of the Word it is because you really hate it. And because you hate it, God takes away your understanding and wisdom.

Scripturally, Mammon refers also to the flesh. For after speaking of Mammon, Jesus then speaks of our life: eating and drinking and clothing ourselves: satisfying the desires of the flesh. So then in order to love God we must hate even our life also.

(Luk 14:26) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

(Luk 9:23) And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. (Luk 9:24) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. (Luk 9:25) For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

If you indulge in the world and the things of the world, the things that have nothing to do with the Word of God or with the commandments of men presented as the Word of God then the love of God is not in you and despite all your outward worship and praise and service to God, in your innermost being you hate and despise God and the things of God. Check yourselves to see whether you truly love God with ALL of your heart for the devil is very deceiving and can satisfy you with a religion that has a form of godliness and is devoid of the power of God and the understanding and wisdom of His Word. I say again, i plead with you search your heart diligently to see whether you truly love the Lord Jesus, the Word of God with all your heart and have not settled for a substitute religion because of the love of the world and of our own life also. Pray for me as well as i do the same.

Part 2
What you love the most is what you will serve. If you love God, the Word and the things of God, you will treasure Him and serve Him. If you love Mammon, the God of this world and the things of this world, that is who you will treasure and who you will serve. You cannot love God and the things of God as well as Mammon, the God of this world and the things of this world. According to the Word it is impossible. You will either love and cleave to God and His things and hate and despise Mammon and His things or you will love and cleave to Mammon and His things and hate and despise God and His things. You cannot love both.

1Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1Jn 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

You may say you love God but as long as you are a partaker of the things of the world then you truly love the world and you honour God with your lips but your heart is far from Him.

(Isa 29:13) Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:(Isa 29:14) Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

Your treasure is the world and your heart is set upon it and your eyes are set upon it and because you cannot love both God and the world in your heart, in the innermost part of your being you despise God and His Word. Understand that the word "despise" does not only mean to hate but also means to make light of.

VictorInChrist

I pray desperately that all of you would see and understand and believe and receive the following:
          Part 1
(Mat 6:21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Mat 6:22) The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. (Mat 6:23) But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! (Mat 6:24) No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Mat 6:25) Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

One's heart will be on whatever one treasures. The lamp of the body that gives light to the body is the eye. The eye gives vision and allows us the see the light. If they vision of the eyes is clear then the whole body will be full of light. But if the vision of the eyes is blocked (with evil) then the whole body is full of darkness. Those that are pure in heart shall see God, the Word, the Light.

(Mat 5:8) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

One's sight depends on the condition of the heart. A pure heart will produce clear vision which will allow you to see the Light. They that are impure in heart will not see the Light but are blinded and being blinded walk in darkness.

What one treasures within their heart will affect their vision. If a person treasure the Word of God then that is where their heart will be and where their eyes will be focused on. If a person treasures Mammon, the God of this world, the God of covetousness, that is where their hearts will be and where their eyes are set and that is where they will direct their energies. The treasure of your heart is what you love the most.

Honestly, all I see here is a misunderstanding of the Trinity. If you would take the time, with an open heart and mind, to understand, you would see that these Scriptures are, in fact, in the Trinity's favor.

Hallo, just want to ask, what are your opinions on Harry Potter and the concept of magic in general? Thanks

Yes, thank you

I certainly did and was a reader and writer of such stories even though i knew the truth. Thank God for Amazing Grace and a godly mother! I read part of the Harry Potter series, loved it as a teenager until my mom found out it was about witchcraft and forbid me from reading it. Loving my mother i listened to her. As i was daily renewed in Christ and faith i realized i could not hold to the hands of God and desire the things of the devil at the same time (1 Corinthians 10:21-22). Jesus also taught that we cannot love Him and mammon (representing the kingdom that oppose God's kingdom, of which magic and sorcery among other more subtle things is but a part). So to sum up, i believe Harry Potter and other such stories that promote the use of magic, sorcery, etc are works of the devil created to cause our hearts to thirst after him rather than to thirst after God and His Word. As Christians, we need to ask God to deliver us from the love of these things so that we may have the love of God for the love for both CANNOT abide in our hearts at the same time as saith the scriptures (1 John 2:15). Does this answer your question?

@CZRLEO Hello! Thanks for your interest in what I believe on the matter. I believe what the scriptures teach on the matter, that there are two powers at work in the world: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. Both kingdoms exercise power with signs and wonders and miracles: (Hebrews 2:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:9). Then there is a third agent at play and that is mankind himself who, being made in the image of God can exercise dominion over the earth even as God (Gen 1:26, Psalms 82:6-7) by the law of faith even as Peter was able to do by faith alone even BEFORE he received the Holy Ghost (Matthew 14:29). So there is much supernatural that man can accomplish either by his faith alone or by his faith in God's power or in the devil's power. This contrast in the use of the two powers is seen clearly in the story of Phillip and Simon the Sorcerer (Acts 8:5-13) where Phillip lent his faith to the power of God and the latter to the power of the devil. So then men may use the power of God to create miracles and the power of the devil or their own faith. This is what i believe real-life magic is: the exercising of human faith or the use of the power of devils. I do not belief magic can be used to refer to the miracles, signs and wonders of God. Rather magic is referred to the practices of the occult by heathen in the Bible (Gen 41:8) and is placed with witchcraft, wizardry and sorcery and divination. So magic is very real and in no way imaginary. God has declared that those that practice such, lending their faith to the evil spirits are abominations in his eyes (Deut 18:10-12). If then these things are an abomination in the eyes of God what should we as Christians have anything to do with them, whether it is real life magic/sorcery/etc. or fictional magic/sorcery/etc. (which promotes magic as something to be accepted and coveted). How many of us who read about magic in our childhoods didn't in our heart wish we could practice magic?

This is part 2 of the testimony:

I later received word that Taryn had been successfully revived by the doctors. All glory be to God. I know the devil will try to say that she was not not really dead but dying and that it was the doctors who revived her but however you look at it, a miracle happened and I know that our Lord Jesus Christ had intervened, for if He had not she would never had been revived. Hallelujah! Glory be to God! He is still the same yesterday, today and forever.   Please keep Taryn in your prayers that the Lord grant to her true salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost and for me that I may be granted wisdom to help her and my students to the Lord as I promised Him.

          Thank you.

Here is a testimony that occurred today.

          This is part 1:

I want to share this testimony for the glory and honour of the Lord Jesus who is the same yesterday, today and forever. This afternoon i saw a Facebook post of an American teenage friend named Taryn talking about a problem she was having. Something told me that the girl needed help and I reached out to her.I later received a message that the girl had been in a car accident during a possible suicide attempt and was in a serious condition at the hospital with her heart rate declining and her breathing slow. Immediately i sent out prayer requests for her and began praying myself. As I was praying I felt Something tell me that she was going to die. This was later confirmed by her cousin, who was talking to me through her phone. She said that the doctors had spoken to her and told her that their attempts to revive her had failed and that she was basically dead. I kept thinking of the fact that the girl was not ready to meet the Lord. I also began thinking about the others whom i knew that were also not ready to meet the Lord Jesus and what would happen if they were to die.I still believed that Jesus is the same and that He could revive the girl from the dead. I went down to prayer again and told Him that I knew that the girl was not in a condition to meet Him as although she calls herself a christian she is acting contrary to her confession. So I promised Him that if He revived her I would reach out to her again, as well as the group of students that I teach, about the Lord Jesus Christ. It fell into my spirit to keep my word and I was a bit puzzled as to whether the Lord would revive her. I asked the girl's cousin if she believed that Jesus could still raise the dead and she said not in this day. I wanted to tell her that He would raise Taryn but there was still some doubt in my heart. However i went ahead and began talking to my class about the Lord Jesus, acting by faith to keep my word as i had said.

@Annedivinestudios @Annedivinestudios You are welcome! To God be the glory! He is a miracle working God. We need to only believe even when believing is not easy. Glad the testimony was a blessing. Feel free to share it with as many christians as you know. Let's spread the Word that God does not change!

@VictorInChrist I read both the parts and this is amazing. Though sorry for the delay in reply. I just have a problem answering certain messages base on what was going on. Though I need to trust God as well to be the God that even raises the dead. As well as helping in my most terrible situations. Thank you for sharing this.

@CZR_KAT Thanks for reading the book. As for the LOTR series, as far as Fantasy novels go, it is a good novel with good themes of the fight against light and dark but as far as calling it representing the christian life or christian literature, i would not do so. Consider this, many religions have Christian themes interwoven in their teachings. Does that make them acceptable ways to God, the Father? What did Jesus say? He said that He was the Way, the Truth, the Life and that no man could go to the Father but through Him and that man could not live but by ever Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The Bible also says that He was the Word. So no man can come to the Father but through the Word of God (the Bible) and all the Truths taught therein. So therefore no other religion could qualify, though they have christian elements interwoven in their teachings. The things added and subtracted to their religious teachings present a danger to the soul. Likewise with Narnia and the LOTR series. They may have Christian elements interwoven but it is the teachings that are added or subtracted that make the world of difference and present a danger to the soul. Does this answer your question?
