THE HOLY LOVE
          
          1 Peter 4:8 (NLT)
          
          Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 
          
          

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT
          
          Mark 12:28-31 (GNT)
          
          [28]  A teacher of the Law was there who heard the discussion. He saw that Jesus had given the Sadducees a good answer, so he came to him with a question: “Which commandment is the most important of all?” [29]  Jesus replied, “The most important one is this: ‘Listen, Israel! The Lord our God is the only Lord. [30] Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ [31]  The second most important commandment is this: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ There is no other commandment more important than these two.”
          

THE BIBLICAL LOVE
          
          1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (AMP)
          
          [4] Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. [5] It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. [6] It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail].
          
           [7] Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. [8] Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].... 
          

          [13] And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.

          

OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW OF GOD
          
          Psalms 119:9-16 (NIV)
          
          [9] How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. [10] I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. [11] I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. [12] Praise be to you, Lord; teach me your decrees. [13] With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. [14] I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. [15] I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. [16] I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word. 
          

THE WORD OF GOD
          
          Psalm 19:7-10 (ESV)
          
          [7]  The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; [8]  the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
          
          [9] the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether. [10] More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.
          
          [11] Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
          

THE BEATITUDES

[5]  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. [6]  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
          
           [7]  Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. [8]  Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. [9]  Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. [10]  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven.
          
          [11]  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. [12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
