Writing has been a hobby of mine ever since I was little. Even before I had a good computer, I'd write stories on paper. Sloppy and incoherent as they were, that child-like excitement whenever I hit pencil to paper (or finger to key) is what fuels my writing. Inspiration can sometimes be hard to find, but when it does come, I make the most of it.
