          	Chapter 14: Keeper of Darkness
We kept walking through the passageways that seemed to never end. It was as if the walls were getting thinner by every metre we walked. Shizen, seemed very scared stiff about this. I wasn't surprised, we were about to battle a dark historical figure that was trying to tear up the world.

Finally, the never-ending passageways ended, and we thought we arrived at the place of the slumbering monster, although it seemed to be just a dark, empty eerie cavern. I guess there was more walking to go. Aubry complained, "When are we get there..? I'm getting so tired of constantly walking", It wasn't just her, I'm sure everyone was tired of walking through cavern that lead to other caverns. There was a pathway in the cavern which led to stairs that were going downwards. This process repeated again, and again. If we kept going any further down, we would have reached hell by now. As we walked to the stairs, I turned to my right and noticed Tsume was tearing up. "Tsume... is everything okay?" I asked him.

Tsume turned away, wiped his tears and stuttered, "Huh? Oh n-nothing..."

          Chapter 13
I turned around to see what was going on, fear embraced me. I thought something had happened to Gwen or Moesashi but when I looked behind, I realised that no one was hurt. Who screamed? Where'd it come from? Everyone was confused at al different states of levels. I observed the area and I heard something rumbling froma cliff over at the distance. My eyes were never good with far distances, everything was a blur. I tried to squint my eyes, seeing a small blurry figure on that cliff. I looked up and then I saw a waterfall of boulders heading straight for that figure. I warned everyone about it, "Huh? I heard something down there and it wasn't my imagination. I'm pretty sure there's someone down that cliff".

          Tsume replied, "Are you sure?"

"Well, none of us screamed, look down there at that cliff!" I pointed towards the blurry figure and it gaves another shreik of fear, "Help! There's a rock slide coming this way and I can't get out anywhere!!" Aubry said, "It's a little kid! I think we have to help him."

I asked Tsume, "Do we have enough time?"

He answered, "No. Time is wasting and we can't waste anymore. This kid is probably pranking. You know how kids are like these days, making stupid remarks, fooling around."

"But what if it's not a prank? We can't just leave him there!!"

Isonade agreed, "Right. Let go down there."

Tsume complained, "But weren't you just scared out of your bloody mind about a few seconds ago??" He sighed and continued, "Alright, whatever." We all turned back and headed towards the little kid. He was scared and frightened, the way he cried made me feel sympathy for him. I don't know why Tsume didn't want to rescue this little boy. I understood that he was in a rush and we didn't have much time left but it was the least we could do.

          Chapter 12: The Voyage
I started to open my eyes, the sun's bright rays were shining on my eyes. I was too tired to get up, I heard Tsume voice call out to me, "Good morning!". Turning around, I saw our backpacks and other luggage, and I remembered about what we were intending to do yesterday. Moesashi started to wake up, he stretched a little and proclaimed, "Come on guys, we gotta get moving". Aubry was softly mumbling in her sleep. Gwen moaned in pain, "No mommy I don't want to go to school today..."

I scoffed, "Wow, you guys have weird dreams...", suddenly Aubry quickly sat up and screamed, "I DIDN'T DO IT!! H-huh..?" She scratched the back of her head and tried to act as it nothing happened, "Oh, morning guys...", Gwen rolled around in her sleep, still sleep talking. Tsume put his hand on Gwen's forehead and exclaimed, "She has a fever!"

I complained, "Oh no... It's on the worst time as well..."

Moesashi alerted, "Huh?! Quick give me those herbs over there!" Moesashi gestured his finger to the herbs on the bowl located on the desk. Aubry said, "R-right!", she quickly ran to the desk and got the bowl of herbs, "Are you sure these will help her?" Moesashi answered, "I'm sure. I learnt about this when I was a child", Aubry handed over the herbs to Moesashi and handed he them to Gwen. "Here, please eat these." Gwen slowly tried to get up and grabbed the herbs. I asked out of curiousity, "How did Gwen suddenly get a fever?"

Gwen answered, "Don't worry about me... just a few side effects..."

          "Side effects? Of what, exactly?"

"I gave you my Elemagica powers, I left all the power sustained in me, I should be fine, though... I just need a rest...", Gwen rested her head on the pillow and fell back to sleep. "Tell me when you guys are leaving, I'm not gonna let some stupid fever get in my way...".

          Chapter 11: Fire and Ice
                                          ***THE DAY AFTER THE FUNERAL***

We got back from the cemetery and buried Kyrashiro's dead body. Tsume dropped me off to my house and as soon as I got back, I rushed to my room and laid down on my bed thinking about what just happened 2 months ago, it was the most suspenseful situation I have ever been in. I changed into my clothes, getting ready to sleep but I couldn't sleep. I was so lost in thought about Kyrashiro. I got my amulet out and stared at it for a minute, staring at Kyrashiro's soul, I thought to myself, "Why... Why did this have to happen... Why now.." I opened the drawer next to my bed and opened it. I threw the amulet into the drawer and forced it closed.

As I walked back to lie down on my bed, I looked up at the ceiling trying to wonder about what would happen next. We had to be ready for anything, because anything could happen. That's life, as we know it. I felt the soft night-time breeze fall into my room and brush across my face. I slowly closed my eyes and tried to think happy thoughts but all I picture in my head was Kyrashiro trying to call for help. We never got to save her in time. That's when I shut down and fell a sleep.

The next morning, the first thing I heard when I woke up was the phone ringing. I tried to resist the noise but it kept on going. I sighed and got off my bed, dragging my feet across the floor. I walked to get the phone and answered it. I complained, "Please call later, I need my beauty sleep..." As soon as I was going to hang up I heard a conventional and rather livid voice bribing me to not hang up and I recognised this voice. I asked, "...Is this Aubry..?"

She answered, "Yes! And from now on, when I call you, I forbid you to hang up! Got it?!"

          "Did I stutter??", I debated.

"Look, genius, I got up really early as well just to spread the news to everyone else, so don't complain."

          "Wait... What news?"

          Chapter 10: The Funeral
It was time... Time for the mourning of our dear friend, Kyrashiro. We knew she might come back but we couldn't be so sure. It has been seven weeks after the devastating event. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I couldn't get it out of my head. How could something so treacherous happen like this? Kyrashiro's soul was still in my amulet and could come out anytime; only if she overcame her burden that she was holding, but if she would have never done that, we had to hold a funeral to her. For all her friends and family.

We all arrived to to funeral, all I could see was a sea of black. Everyone was wearing black. I couldn't imagine something like this, happen to our friend but soon enough, it would happen to all of us. The air seemed so depressing, I saw her parents crying. I went up to Gwen who was sitting alone. "Hey Gwen... I really hoped that we wouldn't have to do this, but it's been far too long, her soul hasn't come out of my amulet yet... I'm really sorry."

Gwen got up, smiled and put her hand on my shoulder, "Hey... it's okay. No one should be blamed for this except for the Dark Spirit and plus, Kyrashiro's in a better place now." Gwen walked away and went to her seat with the others.

I'm thinking of dedicating someone from my book "Prevailing Darkness" but I don't know which one of you to choose. So from now on, the first person to comment on a new chapter in regards to their opinion on the chapter will get a dedication because I want input from you guys so I can improve and write better. :D A vote would also be appreciated! Also you cannot be dedicated for two chapters in a row, just to make it fair for other people.
