I'm making a comic. a cute one, and im also writing it as a novel. I've been drawing the characters and im actually really excited to show you, but when it comes to writing the first chapter...i don't know how to start. Beginnings have never been easy for me. I can write with the flow, come up with random ideas that somehow make it to the climax of the story, and i usually always have the ending, but the start? It's probably the hardest part of the novels i write.
I mean, it feels impossible if i don't hook my readers within the first few sentences, then they won't even turn to the next page, let alone the next chapter, and i always try to make it interesting, but i truly want this one to shine, so im struggling even more...
How should i captivate my readers in the first sentence of the first chapter of my next novel, based on a comic im making?
The novel is called "For Infinity."
