A girl with an active imagination and stories to share. I write with the hope of sharing experiences, ideas and thoughts - mine along with those who wish for me to share theirs too. My writing spans a diverse range of genres, encompassing both fiction and non-fiction. 

On the note of fiction, I deem it only fair for me to reveal that Vortia Fox is an alias I use. I was inspired to use an alias after immersing myself in Derek Landy's "Skulduggery PLeasant". In this world of magic, people exist with three names, namely: their true name, their given name and their taken name. While a person's true name is the source of their power, if another individual comes to learn their true name before they do, they can then be controlled by this individual. A person's given name is the name that they are assigned at birth - usually by their parent(s) - and affords other individuals the power to control their movements if said individuals learn their given name. The taken name - the equivalent of an alias - allows one to seal their given name and so allows them some modicum of control and power over their own life. I regard the notion behind the taken name as a symbol of one taking control of their path in life. I pondered at length of the taken name I would decide on were I to live in such a universe and ultimately settled on Vortia Fox - the reasons behind this choice shall be revealed in my stories. Since true names are not yet heard of in our society, I have decided to not fret about my own, unknown, true name. As for my given name, to make things a little more interesting, I have decided to imbue my given name within my stories, the pages of which, riddled with clues.
