To be honest, I still can’t bring myself to write more. I feel like I’ve lost my spark, but I keep trying anyway—just in case that courage to write fully comes back. I’ve always been drawn to dark stories. I write gore, horror, massacres—things a lot of people are uncomfortable with. And that’s exactly why I’m scared to share them. Dark Romance and dark narratives aren’t really accepted in our community.

But let me be clear: I write these stories with intention and purpose. I don’t romanticize or normalize harmful behavior. My dark stories have meaning, direction, and advocacy behind them.

Still… I’m scared of what people will say if I keep pursuing this path. My writing ends up limited because I constantly think about the readers—their opinions, their feelings. And because of that, my work ends up feeling too soft, too toned-down, to the point I don’t feel that passion anymore.

I’m an all-for-one writer. I write everything—every genre you can think of. But when it comes to dark stories, they’re meant to be dark. And right now, I can’t do it. I’m afraid of the backlash that might fall on me… on us.

Writing stories can be tough, and it's normal to worry about how people will react. Remember, there will always be ups and downs, and not everyone will like what you write, and that's okay. Everyone has different ways of dealing with dark themes. It can be tiring to think about others' opinions, but if you love writing, go for it! Write the stories that matter to you, even if they’re dark.If you're feeling like you're losing your spark, it's okay to take a break from time to time. Resting can help you find your spark again. Forcing yourself to write when you're not inspired might make you lose interest even more.
