I just wanted to let you know that i absolutely love the way that you write. I particularly enjoy your emphasis on non-verbal signals and keen observation. Also, your first fanfic convinced me to try the book that Lee was reading (it's a fabulous btw!!). I'd be so interested to know if you have a GoodReads i could follow, or just any other book recs you might have :)

@CherriWyn
            Thank you!! I am very happy to hear you've been enjoying both the story and the book Lee was reading. My Goodreads isn't very up-to-date, but I have a couple of books that I absolutely love and am happy to share with you:

            1. Billy Summers by Stephen King. King is a known horror author, but this book is more of a neo-noir thriller about a hitman on his last job. It's not particularly action-packed, but it is still incredibly tense, and Billy himself is such an interesting character.

            2. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (the whole trilogy is good actually). This is a dark fantasy following Mia Corvere, a young woman training to become an assassin while seeking revenge against the people who murdered her family. This book stood out from others in its genre for me because of its dark and witty narration, genuinely morally grey characters, and incredibly rich world-building.

            3. The Shadow of Perseus by Claire Heywood. It's the myth of Perseus, retold through the perspective of the three women whose lives are shaped by him: Danae (his mother), Medusa, and Andromeda (his wife). If you enjoy mythology retellings, I'd definitely recommend this one. Especially if you are familiar with the myth of Perseus, it's refreshing to read a version from a totally different perspective. Another good one in this genre is Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker, focusing on Briseis and Achilles during the Trojan War.

            All three of those books are very different in genre, and also very different from The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Dissapeared, but it was the outstanding and compelling characters and the way they navigate their worlds that stuck with me.

            I don't know what your usual genre is, but hopefully there is something here that catches your interest! Very curious to hear what you think. Also, let me know if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them as well :))
