            hydra’s asset . that’s what she was now . after months , she climbed the ranks quickly , eventually being the best agents around . they trusted her — they didn’t find a reason not to . she changed . she believed in change , and the change that hydra could bring to the world . she believed she was helping her friends . saving her family . the avengers wouldn’t be able to understand . that was why she left . when she heard a knock on the door , she didn’t hesitate to open it . “ hey , i’m off duty , so why don’t — “ she stopped , face - to - face with her favourite blonde . she looked at him for awhile , before she shut the door , trying to catch her breath . she felt tears prick her eyes , but she refused to let anyone see . let / him / see . he was the enemy now . she couldn’t go back . there was no going back from hydra . she was part of a bigger cause .

            just when steve needed stephanie the most, she had disappeared and he too was suffering from it. not only because she were a friend but because he had no one else to turn to when these weird changes came about. what i mean about changes is that steve’s strength grew rapidly and so did his speed and other ethics. he was having visions, nightmares of wars and people called zeus and hades — all of it was too strange and to be honest, he couldn’t turn to anyone else. so when heard there was someone of her description on the radar, steve was the first to jump into action. he hoped on his motorcycle and drove around and knocked on doors to find nothing but a stranger. until he was at the last door of the block, that’s when he was hesitant to knock.
