Getting stationed in Colorado Springs. I never thought life would turn out this way, but I can say there's good and bad sides to everything. I'm sad to leave my amazing friend behind but I'm excited to go to such a beautiful place and go into such an amazing school system. I'll be leaving on the 11th.

If hurricane Michael hadn't destroyed the base, I would likely have graduated and gone to college here. Panama city is no longer a place I'm happy to live in anymore, however. Its a post-apocalyptic looking mess and no matter what they tell you about recovery, this place isn't going to be semi-normal for years.

They fill the news with amazing tales of neighbors helping neighbors and anonymous people donating so much, but hearing some of the horror stories from my classmates. Walking around my neighborhood after the storm with my dog and having to lift her over the debris and fallen power line. Watching trees snap like toothpicks and collapsing onto houses. Hearing the roar of the wind outside and just praying my family doesn't fall victim to it. Watching my neighbors canoe down the road to see the full extent of the damage after the storm. I went to sleep expecting a category 3 hurricane, and woke up getting told we were gonna get hit with a category 4 or 5, and there was no way to leave anymore. The roads were blocked with trees. I'm happy to leave my bad memories behind me and go to a whole new place to make new ones.

Oh I read a lot I do not make plot suggestions just an ocassional spelling, or some such usually as questions. If I like I vote and might say so. But if there is nothing I can't read.

@robomechone Sorry, I don't use this account for posting stories for personal reasons, took any down about a year ago. The stories are long forgotten and lack a good storyline or editing. Thanks for the messages though :)

So, if it wasn't obvious already, I have pretty much given up on making my writing public. I still write stuff privately, but Changing Destinies will more than likely never appear again. It was just trying to constantly satisfy my friends wishes with a poorly thought out storyline. I am working on a novel for a class project, so I might post the finished version as a short story in a month or two. The title is "Divided by Deception" about a girl and her two companions, a glowing bird the size of a hawk and a giant flying lizard that weighs about a metric ton, literally. It focuses on the weaknesses that destroyed humanity and earth at the same time and the true meaning of life in a post apocalyptic world thousands of feet underground. Hope you'll like it.

@WalkerOfTheIce Hey, this is Dustin. I'm sorry about Changing Destinies and how it was just a total sham of clashing ideas and plot holes that you accepted just to try to satisfy things, I miss you back here in Milton. Please Respond.
