Okay, I am like the most paranoid person ever and I don't post stuff on the internet, but I felt this was really important and I just need to get it out there.
Before I begin, I'd like to say that I will be covering a controversial topic and would appreciate if you would at least read til the end before posting hate comments.
Homosexuality is a sin. This is a fact the Bible has made very clear to us.
“Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin."
Leviticus 18:22 NLT
Sin by definition is anything that goes against the will of God. Even though God loves us unconditionally, He is perfect and cannot be around sin. This is what creates separation between us and Him. That's why Adam and Eve had to leave the Garden of Eden. They were separated from God because of their sin.
Despite this, there is hope. Like the Bible says, homosexuality is a sin, and sins can be forgiven.
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness."
1 John 1:9 NLT
If we confess our sins to God and ask for forgiveness, he will forgive us. Keep in mind, though, you can't just say sorry and expect to get a freebie. You have to really feel bad about your sin and make a conscious effort to do better. Of course you may have trouble, but God will be there to help you get through it. All you have to do is ask for His help.
Well, I guess that's where I'm going to end. I got lots more to say but too many characters. Before I go I just want to mention that I'm not trying to make anyone feel bad, but Jesus actually offended a lot of people through His teachings, so I felt like it was important for me to get my opinion out there.
