            Ya, the place has been so dam dead ever since the DM removal. At the very VERY least they could've made the "DM Wattpad only" thing be 2-way. They're actively saying Screw People (even their "reason" for DM removal was "This is a writing site, not a social site."), and now more people have been leaving, barely even any MB posts now.
            Even I, who's been on since maybe 2016 or 2017, barely come on anymore, nowadays I'm active on Tumblr and trying to write a fic to post on Ao3. This place SUCKS

@DemigodOfAnime Thankfully, I actually got my stuff back somehow after updating the app. The weird thing is, the app already looked updated before I went to do so and I had to log back in before using it. My story didn't disappear until after I got done using it and backed out to see why none of it was saving. When I refreshed it, I almost died, lol. I didn't know what was going on and updating the app was not an option at first. They need to give people some type of heads up about stuff like that though, even if someone reports your story. Why do they have a platform with all of these mechanics if they aren't going to thoroughly check whether or not the report they received was false before deleting people's stories that they have worked long and hard on? For me, I wouldn't have so much of a problem with them promoting romcom books as long as they were to promote other genres along with it, but they recommend a bunch of bull to read. The only thing I see on the main page is Mafia, werewolves, and vampires with all the same names for the characters. Ain't no way I'm about to pay real coin for a regurgitated plotline that will eventually be put on Netflix. The main thing I do here anyway is write, so all in all I'm just glad I don't have to work from the ground up.

            That's exactly everyone's main issue. As a company, especially one who's had glitch issues in the past, it's their responsibility to notify when they're testing out a new system! But nope! I saw even one or two paid authors mention how they were affected, too! When you're literally causing the people who made deals with you to lose their stuff because of a stupd glitch, and didn't say a dam thing until AFTER the fact, you shouldn't even question why people are taking their writing to other sites.
            Ao3 kept giving updates while they were in the middle of dealing with a homophobic DDos attack and was even letting people know to be careful and not go on. Meanwhile Wattpad can't even tell people "Hey, we're testing something, backup your books just in case."
            
            And then when they posted a chapter about the new update that caused the issue, within the next day or a few hours, the made a chapter saying "WE'VE GOT DEALS ON PAID ROMCOM BOOKS"
            Like, the fuking audacity!? You remove our books and then not only promote your paid crap, but it was just promoting the same type of cishet romances!?
            
            I've decided to move to Ao3 (my username there is the same as here, no books published yet), because what's the point in busting my butt on a book when it'll just get removed because of a glitch or some troll reporting it (The last thing was the whole reason I made an Ao3, fear from someone falsely reporting me).
            I'm still on here to chat, but that's about it.
