But the real pressing issue is, one of the shortlisted stories has its english parts AI-generated. I won't name the story, but others know what it is. They have also expressed their disappointment about it. I'm just saying this here in order to raise awareness.

Okay... so, in light of all these issues, can we have a breather for a minute? I have an idea. What if we just share our different stories on how we gain readers here in Wattpad? What if we create a community and make the awards/contests ourselves?

@TheOrangutan, if I entered I will certainly be shortlisted, but I will never win the Grand prize. (-_-) I've been in this community for more than a decade now, I know a thing or two especially about how WattpadPH operates, that's why I'm an outcast. I've been criticizing them all this time and I've been lodging complaints about the loopholes of this system. So, how do you explained that my story never appeared in the suggested stories even though I'm a Wattys winner? Don't tell me it's all about the algo, that's bullcrap. Wattpad algo is always changing. When I'm talking about shadow bans, you should investigate it. There's no smoke if the is no fire. Anyways, I know all this complaining is going to fall in deaf ears again. So, I'm so done with Wattpad now. I just want everyone to know about my grievances before I dump this site.

Readers don't really care about Wattys. We hear about it kasi authors tayo, pero most of the readers, like mine, they don't even know ano meron sa wattys at ano iyan.

@TheOrangutan, WattpadPH have been putting me and my stories in shadow ban for so many years now. And the only way I could promote my stories is to enter The Wattys but everytime, there is already a designated winner from the Wattpad pool of Paid and Original writers. There was BinibingMia at AkoSiIbarra. In this shortlist, there's Mandie Lee and AnakniRizal. And I saw comments that the entries this year are mostly subpar, so what does this mean? There's only 19 shortlisted stories? Am I undermining the shortlist achievers, or more deserving writers are being undermine because of how the Wattpad system works? I also saw complaints, that before the deadline, eligibility banners disappeared, are they preventing potential winners to join the contest? Support? We, the aspiring/undiscovered writers can't get any support from the community because all the resources are given to Paid and Original writers. Our only hope is The Wattys and we can't even stand a chance to win. I didn't join this year because it's a waste of time. I'm only here right now because I know there are people like me who experience this disappointment and unfair treatment.
@TheOrangutan, I got also shortlisted but I feel subpar because I can't defeat the Wattpad Paid and Original writers. Why is that? Did I lack the skills? If you will base it on the criteria for judging, my story is better written than the others. But how will I beat someone like AkoSiIbarra who is so popular here in Wattpad Philippines?

@Clfern, hindi mo malalaman kasi hindi nanan 'yan dini-disclose. Dati may form pa para mag-apply sa Paid program, tinanggal na 'yan at by invitation na lang ang pagiging part ng Paid program. Kaya nga lamang 'yong may mga kakilalang ambassador kasi meron silang insider info. (-_-)
