Imagine an AU setup where the crew finds Reader in the beginning, fighting off Itraped on a stone in the middle of the sea. The pirates rescue Reader, thinking they're just a brave human. But the huge plot twist later on is that Reader IS a siren who chose to live with humans! When Itraped reveals the truth during a battle, Shedletsky would be so betrayed like: 'You're one of them?! I saved you because I thought you hated monsters, but you were just running from them!'
