Hi everyone! I'm sorry I took such a long and unexpected hiatus. Unfortunately, my mother passed away very unexpectedly, and it has been incredibly difficult navigating my grief in the months since then. Naturally, my fanfic has been sort of put on the back burner while I was (and still am) trying to cope with this new normal my family and I are now living in. I do want to return to Reika’s story, especially where I know my mom wants me to follow my dream of being a writer, but I also know that this event is pretty traumatic. Forcing it out of me before I'm ready will be bad for both me and the story I want to tell, and I think that is what has me hesitating at the moment. I swear, I have every intention to continue Reika’s story, so I just want to thank everyone who has been sitting patiently waiting for it. I just may need a little more time, but I also just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and that I have not disappeared. Life can really hit you hard when you least expect it, and I'm sure I am far from the only person here who has felt this kind of pain. It’s so important more than ever to spread kindness whenever you can. If you see this message, I want you to take this as a sign to reach out in kindness to someone, whether it's your favorite author here, or a friend you may not have heard from in a while. In the meantime, I will be working as hard as I can to return to do what I love and write.
