I made an edit to the part you commented on, which I think erased your comment and my reply to it.
I wanted to make sure you received my proper thanks for pointing out that the paragraph was a big foggy in what I meant. It was supposed to be her saying she'd gotten comfortable with cuddling because of her high school friend, Danielle.
I have revised the paragraph so that it is much clearer what her train of thought is. I am glad you pointed that out, as I had not considered that it might not read clearly to someone who couldn't, you know, apparently read my mind. Hahaha
