Hello, everybody. Lemme start this off with saying:
I am sincerely, sincerely, SINCERELY sorry for my lacking presence regarding progress, updates, whatever you wanna call it, regarding Model Mix-up. It's been six some-odd months since the book last received a new chapter, and I am deeply sorry for that. I'm sure everyone is sick and tired of it by now, but I just wanted to make a post stating that the first episode has (hopefully) received its final revision. I ask that, should you decide to go and read it, please, PLEASE be as critical as you would like! I really enjoy hearing feedback, positive or negative, because it lets me know how well I'm performing regarding my writing.
You may be wondering, 'Why did you not publish a third Notices page?' Well, I personally found that to be quite... insincere. After six months of nothing, I'd rather not publish a chapter saying I updated a bunch of new ones. I don't know if that makes any sense at all. I don't know, maybe someone can persuade me otherwise lol.
Note: I will be posting a third Notices page outlining the 'patch notes' of the old chapters once e3c3 (Episode 3 Chapter 3) is released. Credit to Dragonbane564 for the idea! In fact, a post of theirs (And by extension a massive conversation between us) should be right below this message. Go read their stuff too! Or else I'll be sad.
If there's anything I forgot to mention, I'll put it in the replies. I'm also open to answering any and all questions regarding the state of Mixup, alongside any questions regarding characters or story beats. Ask basically anything, and I'll probably answer! (Unless it's something that'd be super spoilery for the future of the book, but I don't mind if you guys ask those kinda things anyway)
And also, I'm really sorry to anyone I annoy by me making this post an actual announcement...
Anyway, happy one-year anniversary to Model Mix-up! Yippee, or something!

@BigAngryMetaEnty I know, it's been a long while I've left this story untouched... the last real update was in October last year or something and I've just been going through the motions these past few months. Rest assured, this fic is not abandoned in the traditional sense, it's just that with the series completed (among many other things), what began as a Swap AU has become remarkably complicated to iron out the plotpoints. So, I sincerely apologize. Updates will come when they will. I can't tell you when that'll be, but I can tell you it IS a when, not an if. ...apologies for rambling. This is the first message on Wattpad I've seen in a long time lol. And apologies for replying days late, as well.

I mean... wasn't Khan and other members of the WDF responsibly for rescuing Nori and Yeva and whatnot?? Idk what you mean by the rescue squad "seeming a bit odd" lol RAAAAAHHHHHHH I get my SpaceInk instead of calling it Mixup eNVy yippee !! Bloodybats would in concept still work in Mixup tho but Bloodyretriever is equally appropriate Good, good. We can both agree Primus is a godsend lmao— They've helped both our stories considerably I mean we can keep doing the replies, it is kinda funny. But Wattpad evidently isn't exactly made for communication like this— Ah, sorry then. I haven't been looking into a lot of the indie game world lately, despite my top three games of all time being indie— then again two of those three I can never really play again so whatever. Also, interesting, I should probably actually look into what exactly a triple-A game entails then... I'm a bit of a Kirby believer myself, as well, tho I haven't played really any of the games unfortunately. Kirby music do indeed go brrrrr tho (that dinky af song still invades my mind sometimes)

@WessonDoorman Nori being so high she somewhat can't remember what happened is just to funny tho. but alright. That's actually a really good idea tho, ive just got it as Nori's visions of the DD's arrival were more spread out and since Soft Reboot's Alice kept 029 alive, 029 had the visions and told Alice of them. the pair staying back to keep the DD's out of the cathedral. Tho, rescue squad seems a bit odd considering nori staright up say's "Woke up on the surface with my brain scrambled enough to have a kid" (paraphrasing but still) LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOO, BLOODY RETRIEVER / DOLLIN RAAAAAHHHHHH Yep, they make so much more sense then what i originally had planned lol. I honestly gotta thank Primus for coming in clutch like they did. Mood. Primus mood to be exact. We may as well become Discord pals, even if stretching the number of replies here higher and higher is kinda funny. Mine is also, very obvious lol. Wizard of Legend is super niche lol. its just, Wizard themed hack and slash and GOD is it fun sometimes. and yes, Kirby is technically a triple A game (except that franchise has actual effort put into it. Especially the music, leitmotifs that have been in the series for 30 years now. 8 minute OST's. lyrics in the newest game's opening. Kirby music go brrrrr).

@Dragonbane564 Oh god, don't get me started on the magnets again— Primus and I were talking about that and I actually went slightly insane. That was the most Sam discussion I've ever had. "Shunned and ran back" I don't think makes the most sense but it sounds fun to play with. The one that makes the most sense in my head is that maybe the rescue team that found Nori and Yeva and whatnot didn't find Alice, so when she woke up she was alone and didn't know where they went. Well there we go, crisis averted. Bloodyretriever lives in both our fics! Oh, joy. I hope you're at least satisfied with the rewrites you're doing. It gets kinda repetitive after a time, I'm intimately aware, but it's felt worthwhile so far for me. I can only hope the same for you. Again, mood. I always feel like Primus ends up carrying the conversation because they're, like, a walking encyclopedia of MD stuff for some reason. And then I'm over here being confused about the oddest things. Feels bad :C Most servers I'm on are my own creation, and the population is typically just my friends, so I'm not super "around" — as I said tho, DM dweller, so if you ever want to move this convo to discord we cab. You'd never guess what my tag is (it's very obvious) Hm... I don't think I've heard of that before. Also, Kirby is a triple-A game? I... guess I don't actually know what AAA means, now that I think about it... also, eh, F:NV isn't buggy, it's just unstable. Its last update was over a decade ago I believe, you basically have to mod it to play, which is """fun"""

I have no idea if anyone will ever see this message but I don't want to accidentally push a notification to a bunch of people, I just wanted to say that I'm in awe of the performance of my stupid dumb fanfic about silly drones that murder a lot except they have different roles, considering I haven't touched the story in months(?).
Believe me when I say I haven't forgotten about it, I am absolutely in love with the remarkably unique characters I've managed to make despite it being a swap AU. It's so difficult to find a good time and the right mood to write engaging and clear material... and I'd had high hopes for working more today, but it never came to fruition. With the recent release of episode 6 as well, a small handful of retcons in the current revisions need to be made, but they're luckily not so apparent that I need to rewrite the entire story for the third or fourth time...
I promise I will continue work on this as soon as I can get myself to, but what with school being back in and creative energy being a scarce resource in my world, I cannot promise it will be soon - though, don't mistake this for me saying it WON'T be soon.
Even if it's not the greatest thing on earth, I'm very proud of what I've created, even if it isn't of much significance nor is it original or impressive.
Thank you to those who've taken valuable time out of their day to spend it reading my dumb narrative, it means a lot! (even if I sometimes can't feel it)
And I deeply apologize for the broken narrative, I did leave the story in an unfinished state... but I sincerely hope what was completed / revised stands well independently from the rest of the story.
I'm very sorry for the weeks upon weeks of silence, I never knew where to post updates and whatnot without updating readers and followers with what I perceive as a pointless message - I was worried I'd disappoint a lot of people by making them think the book finally updated...
Anyways... sorry for the redundant post! See you all soon!
