Hello Friends 

Over the course of my life I have written poetry. Just a little here and there.    A lot of poets say they were born to write poetry. I do not consider myself a poet, and I certainly do not think I was born to write. Presumably because I believe I am bad at it. How can I be destined for something I suck at?  However, I do have some thoughts to share. Bear with me

Moreover,  I am more than my bad poetry. I've always thought in order to write poetry you had to experiences things, and I felt like I've never experienced anything worth writing about. While I still feel like this I try my best to write. I have a unique perspective. We all do. 

For example I believe Tracy Chapman's music can make the world come together. Bruce Springsteen's Hungry Heart can make me dance and smile and Stevie Nick can make me cry and cry. I think Bob Dylan is the best story teller. My favorite movie is the Dead Poets Society because how foolish of them to think poetry could die! My favorite show is Avatar the last Airbender because I am a child at heart. Radio Shack's have traumatized me and I bring it up now because I get a good laugh out of it, ironically. I am a freedom fighter and a firm believer in equality. I think animals are better than people and people are more animal. Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man will always be special to me. To me, home is where the shrimp boats are and I don't even live by the sea.
