@SarahMNK  Well, when they first glue it on it doesn't hurt at all and when they tighten it it isn't that bad, it's afterwards that can hurt, because the metal is like against your lips so usually for the first week or two you would probably put the wax on them, oh and eating will be agony, well for me it was so I had to stick to soup
