This swill some of Yall will accept and give millions of reads… it’s all simply unreadable.
There are SO MANY well written books and creative storyline’s and MC’s with some personality that isn’t “y-y-yes I am w-w-weak and s-s-stupid” but nooo none of yall will read those!

It blows my mind that some fanfics literally re-write the books so essentially their OC takes all of Harry’s lines and parts and people applaud and say OH HUZZAH! HOW ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE!!!

Tell me how it’s fair that paid stories that are already promoted to no end and people literally get money for, are allowed to be entered, let alone win. Like that ain’t it.
Stoked to see a lot of smaller creators got in there, books with like 2k reads. But still, I thought the Watty’s were about celebrating up and comers, helping small creators and small stories get their stuff seen. So why was the shortlist made up of SO MANY paid stories? Make it make sense.

Don’t y’all get bored of reading the same kind of Fanfiction’s over and over? Tell me how many times you can read a story about falling for Fred/George/Draco etc during the Tri-Wizard Tournament with the exact same storyline’s? And the MC always seems to somehow be best friends with Cedric and of course very sad when he dies and makes everyone feel sorry for her? Or she’s the one at the bottom of the lake and the love interest is all upset and worried?
I physically cannot read one more book that is basically just chapter after chapter of word for word ripped straight from JK Rowling’s actual book, with the MC planted in there randomly. I can’t. BE CREATIVE.
