Okay so, SHOW CHOIR CAMP WAS AMAZING??
We have this new choreographer, who is making our theatrical show SO COOL??? He changed all our costumes to be STEAMPUNKY and we’re getting our own lights now????
Anyway, I may not be close to the guy I like for any of the choreo, buuuut he keeps asking me for help and coming to me during water breaks, soooo lets just say this week went great.

Watched it with two of theatre friends last night, IT’S SO GOOD!
It’s about WW2 veterans who come back from the war and form a jazz band to help each other recover from the PTSD and survivor’s guilt of the war.
It stars Corey Cott and Laura Osnes!
It’s choreographed BEAUTIFULLY by Andy Blankenbuehler who did Hamilton!!!
There’s even a proshot out there somewhere (my friend had it downloaded)!!
AND THE MAIN CHARACTERS ALL PLAY LIVE INSTRUMENTS LIKE WHAT
THERE’S TRUMPETS AND TROMBONES AND PIANO AND BASS AND CLARINETS
IT’S LEGIT SO COOL!

Sooo band camp was last week and
IT WENT AMAZING
I’m in a quintet at the beginning of our show with the guy I like, SO WE’RE NEXT TO EACHOTHER IN OUR DRILL THE ENTIRE SHOW!!
Also ya know how I said I was in some strange Wattpad-love-triangle thingy? Well it’s going to be reeeeeally bad this year. Because both of the guys in it have made it explicitly clear that they want the title of trumpet dad (because I’ve been trumpet mom for forever)
So, with show choir and musical camp coming up tomorrow, I’ll have to keep you guys updated!!

So I am extremely sleep deprived this week, making my eight hour work shifts really realllllly hard to stay awake… BUT OMG THE REASON IS TOTALLY WORTH IT
SO on Monday, I snuck my phone into my room late at night, and followed up on a text that the guy I like sent me (thinking he’d respond in the morning)
BUT NO he ended up responding in the next thirty seconds!!! So we ended up talking until around 1:00, and OMG GUYS HE FELL ASLEEP, THEN WOKE UP AND APOLOGIZED A BAJILLION TIMES
I know it’s not the same as falling asleep while face timing, but I’m a little too nervous to ask him to FaceTime me yet xD

@WildfireMeadows LITERALLY! My friends (love them) also tend to swear a lot and swearing is NOT a thing in my household so I normally wear headphones when on call. But then when my family hears only MY half of the conversations then they get even more confused out of context.

OKAY SO I also may have found my new favorite song ever???? Yet I’ll never be able to hear it again :(
So the older guy that lead worship for church camp showed us a song he wrote for his wife, basically about coming home from long days in the mines to waltz with her in their tiny kitchen at 3 AM
I literally cried both times I heard it because it was just a work of true love :)
Although I can’t find it anywhere on the internet!!!!!! So I’ll just have to never forget the lyrics I remember

@nadiasandas3 OKAY SO all I remember is the refrain: “Across the blue tile on the floor of the kitchen, above all the stars as we glide in to heaven, it’s 1-2-3-1 and the world fades away, waltzing with you at the end of the day” And in all the verses its implied that the singer works in a coal mine and gender is never specified throughout the song :)

So I’m officially back from church camp!! (Soooo that’s why I was kinda inactive for a week lol)
But yeah it was super fun!! I got to do a lot of classic summer camp things, like make friendship bracelets, play capture the flag, tye dye, and go hiking!!
AND I LITERALLY WAS ABLE TO HIKE TO THE TOP OF PIKE’S PEAK
GUYS I CAN OFFICIALLY SAY I HIKED A FOURTEENER
