Little art fight rant up ahead: 
          I just (as in a few hours ago) got my first attack in art fight, not a revenge, but a full fledged attack. That means someone, who is way more advanced in art and character design, looked at my art and decided it was worth their time. And to be clear, I don’t mean this in an egotistical way, I’m just so surprised because I’ve always viewed my art as unimportant and beginner.
          I felt like my head was going to explode from excitement when I got the notification , I must have spent at least 15 minutes gazing into the piece.
          I’m already working on a revenge, their characters are so cool!

Gonna be joining art fight this year, so expect slower updates (I almost have the next chapter done in my fic though, so that should be out soon before I absorb myself in drawing.)
          I will most likely post the art of my own characters (that I draw) but definitely not other people’s characters (that I draw), due to the fact the OG creator may not want that.

I have decided to fuck the Batman time lines.
          Key differences is the batfam time line (that don’t give away spoilers in my fic)
          1. Barbra got shot in the spine while dick was Robin, meaning she is now Oracle when Jason is Robin. Idk why I chose to do this, but I can say it’s not because the thought of a powerful woman terrifies me, she still will be empowering and Cass and Steph will be there to. Honestly the three of them are just introduced much earlier in this then cannon, and experience stuff much earlier too.
          
          2. That’s all? More will probably pop up and when I made this post I thought I had made at least 10 changes in canon but it appears not. 
          Of course, most of my knowledge is from fanfics, and while I have been doing research, reading comic strips (need to get a library card to find full comics), and looking into character break downs, the characters still won’t be 100% themselves sadly. Honestly I just need to let go of the anxiety that is coming from me stressing about characters, this is a fanfic.
          Sorry for the rant, I’m going to go write now that I have let go of that pent up emotion.

Should I cross post my fanfic to AO3? 
          I probably won’t, or will at least wait until I have finished writing the whole thing (and possibly a sequel, idk if I will separate it into two because it depends).
          I’m just curious if anyone (aka the 1-4 people reading this at most) have any opinions on this. 
          
          I know it would probably get a bit more attention on AO3 and I’m a lot more active on there, but I just don’t know.

New chapters in my fic are going to be posted today or tomorrow. 
          I have a couple written that I need to look over to make sure it makes sense and isn’t choppy, and then I’m going to finish writing the third one and re-read that as well. So no later than tomorrow, I can promise that!

Might re-write the few chapters I have in my fic. I feel like Nico is too OOC. 
          I am aware that due to it being a kind of ‘what if’ and a crossover that Nico won’t act the same due to different events. But I still feel like for the first bit (aka the bit takes the route away from canon) could be a bit more in character. 
          
          Or I’m just having double standards for myself. I’ll give it a week and if I’m still unhappy with it I’ll try re-writing it.

Sorry for not updating Capes and Coats like I said I would, due to reasons I didn’t have the time to write today and most of yesterday. While I won’t promise it, do look out for an update tomorrow because I should have the time.

Also, I’m reading up on the Rick wiki for Nico’s character so expect better, more accurate characterization to come. (Also reading up on Batman characters since I’m less familiar with them outside of fanfics and the occasional show or comic I read)
          (Also might read a bit on child psychology to better understand how most children experience and react to grief.)

First two chapters of my Nico/Dcu fanfic is out!! Expect the 3rd to be out tomorrow because I am on a writing high at the moment!

I have decided to say “fuck cannon” to both of the cannons I'm working with in the fic because 1. I know bits and pieces from the dcu, so while I’m going to try and make them as in character as possible, that in character may be more fannon then cannon. 
          2. I really want to give Nico the Cocoa Puffs even if he is like 10 instead of 15 like when he got them originally. My reasoning is that I love his trauma demons and want a reason to write about them. 
          3. I don’t want to be held back my such a measly thing such as cannon.
