I moved into college over this past weekend, and it's going to take some getting used to obviously, so I'll be taking a hiatus more or less for a while. I'll try to stay active in the book club I'm in, but it may be a little bit before I get back to it. Just wanted to let my fellow members know, as I often feel bad when I don't get to it in a while! :)

I'll be putting Making Demons on a little haitus for a bit as I'm realizing it may be a wise idea to get to college in a couple of months and see what it's really like before I try to work on a novel where college life is a major point of the plot.
Until then, I may be posting bits of a much more lighhearted story I have in the back of my mind, but I can't say for sure. Making Demons will be back in a couple of months.
          Have a great day!

Meet Renee Traviata, the girl with eyes on the future but a heart in the past, in Making Demons when her first chapter is published soon!

Renee took a deep breath. "Who are you?" she thought.
"Again, you'll learn with time," it insisted. "Will you take this chance or not, Renee?"
          "Chance at what?"
"A chance at a chance. As many chances as you want, in fact."
She was feeling lightheaded. What was happening?
"Just think back…" the voice encouraged her. "Just rewind…"
Renee took a deep breath and shook her head. The room was spinning. She couldn't even hear Small's words any more.
          "Yes or no, Renee?"
“I…” Her vision went blurry. She'd screwed up… She shouldn't have failed that quiz…
          "Yes or no?"
Was she seeing things or was there a hazy form of a man standing in front of her desk, looking down at her?
          Renee took a deep breath.
The blurred figure put his hands on her desk and stooped over so that their faces were a foot apart.
"Is that a yes on your lips?" the voice asked her.
Renee was fairly sure the figure was tilting its head inquiringly. The entire room seemed to tilt with it, still spinning all the while.
          What was happening…?
"You have the power. The ability is yours. I just gifted it to you."
          "You what…?" Renee thought distantly.
"You're something special now, Renee," the voice echoed in her head. "I'm curious to learn your nature. Won't you show me what you are?"
          Renee closed her eyes.
          And then she said yes.

So, I've got the covers for "Making Demons" and "Hunting a Wolf" complete (though they're open for revision in the future, of course). Hopefully, I'll have the cover for "Memories, Murder, and One Little Question" done within a few days, too.
