Hi. I have a great appreciation for your work, Heart of a Mystic Soul & Raised by Roses have to be some of my Favorite HP fics ever.
I have some critique though.
Your writing regarding Miraculous Ladybug bashes Marinette in some fics. You bring up good points for this, most of which I agree with.
But (and this is something that I see in real life and not just fanfiction), you point out the character's problems, bash and punish the character, have the victim recover and receive better treatment.
But you don't give the character a chance to get better and redeem themselves.
Marinette, after receiving the box, eventually resolves to make her own rules. Yet she still keeps Adrien in the dark regarding matters of the Miraculous and other holders.
This is, in hindsight, pretty dumb. As without the old man breathing down her neck she can do shit how she wants, meaning more transparency less gatekeeping.
Adrien was somewhat unserious and near-constantly flirting with LB during fights in the first few seasons. But when Season 4 came along and he saw how hard his partner took the loss of the Miraculous and her failure. He locked in and got serious in order to support her.
He grew up.
They *both* grew up.
Maybe not enough, but they did. They've had they're flaws pointed out to them and have gotten better and stronger for it as a result. They're both capable of change and evolution for the better.
All the character's are.
The writers just didn't give the time and opportunity for proper development. And some of them had they're development literally snatched out from under them. (i.e. Chloe)
No one in this series is an outright Angel or Demon. They all flaws, some worse than others. But they have the capacity to get better. Their writers just didn't let them.
So, instead of just getting on her case, could you do a fic where Marinette is made aware that she's go t problems and given the opportunity to fix them.
Just a thought.
