I'm thinking of closing this account, but not to leave Wattpad. It's just this account is so associated with me. I don't really want a lot of people finding my Wattpad. I'm not ashamed of it. I'm just embarrassed by my writing. So any stories posted or previously posted will be on a new account that is completely separate from me. :)

I love writing, but I rarely venture onto Wattpad anymore. I'm taking a break from main stories again and want to work on side projects so I'll be popping back onto here for awhile. I'm going to hide all of my stories that are up right now, though. If I ever re-upload them it will be polished versions.

I'm republishing Food For Thought so there will be quick spam on my page, because apparently you can't just undraft it all at once which sucks. I've also started doing live readings of the more recent draft on my Youtube channel WinteryGarnet

Alright, I've never had spam on Wattpad before. I'm now getting weird messages about clicking a link to win prizes. This is highly annoying. Oh well.

MeganHites

@WinteryGarnet I know, that's what I was thinking!
            When I was younger, I probably would have been gullible enough to click on the link.

            They have a section for reporting underage users (who usually only read, which we should be promoting)...but they don't care about stuff like this?? Seems a little weird.

@MeganHites
            That's rather disconcerting. You'd think websites would have the report function for the purpose of removing spam/inappropriate behavior???? Way to go Wattpad, especially since your main demographic are teenagers.

And then the kicker was at the bottom it said "falsely reporting and reporting many times can result in an account seize or temporary ban" or something like that. Lol

Something important regarding Food For Thought: I've been doing some stuff with the sequel, and I realized that books 2 and 3 will most likely not be as long as book 1. Book 1 is already shorter than books I typically write so I'm thinking about combining all three books.
          Basically, I'm thinking of naming the books "It's Called Anorexia" and having it be split into three parts: Food For Thought, Wearing Thin, and Reflection, which would have been the three book titles.

@WinteryGarnet I think that sounds like a really great idea!

So.... I'm reading Romance stories recently because that's a genre I stray from A LOT. I like romance, but I don't like smut. I'm reading romance because I want to expand not only my taste but my abilities. The romance genre is weird XD it seems like nobody writes exactly what they mean. There are a lot of comparisons as opposed to just stating things. Girls don't have brown hair. They have long strands of chestnut cascading from their scalp. Men don't have green eyes they have shining orbs the shade of emeralds. Don't even get me started on sex scenes. Body parts have really weird descriptions. It's not bad I suppose. It's just not what I'm used to. XD

Added note to my last post, I just finished revising all of Food for Thought so this draft is completely done. I won't do the next draft for awhile because I need a break from it XD

WinteryGarnet

@MeganHites as many as it takes for me to be completely content with my writing XD normally my first draft is just me word vomiting the story. It takes the longest. The second draft I go in and tweak the plot to meet every point that I want and remove those I don't really want. That takes the second longest. Third I go through and just tweak words and phrases. Word consciousness, emphasizing certain points, that stuff, and wrapping up any plot holes I may have. A Fourth draft is usually just simple edits, cutting pointless information, and a good polish. I'm only 17, so my writing isn't fully matured. I'll probably keep revising as I get older and my writing develops until I've reached a point where I think it's as good as it can get XD

I just had a random idea. I was trying to redo some of the pictures for the chapters of Food For Thought, but then thought about recording myself reading the chapters, uploading it as a private YouTube video, and then making that be the media for each chapter. It's sort of like an audio book so that people don't necessarily have to read each chapter and can do other things while listening. The only problem is I wouldn't necessarily want my family hearing me read the chapters XD I'll think it over though. Maybe I'll do it where Where the Heart Lies instead :3

WinteryGarnet

@MeganHites Thanks! I want to do it but I get nervous enough filming 3-4 minute Youtube videos with my family around. I think I'd freak if I filmed 7-10 minutes of me reading each chapter XD

@WinteryGarnet thats a really neat idea! I think it would be really cool for either or both of your stories :)
