I’m also still studying and stuff so yah . Stephanie didn’t know what happened, one minute she was fine at home. Next she had found herself chained up. Striped of her uniform, and left being forced on her feet, her toes not even touching the ground. Damn it! She should’ve listened to Bucky, but what was the point. He had been avoiding her since he accidentally sent her into the hospital, it was painful really. Especially when she loved him, and he kept pushing her away. Of course it didn’t take long until guards arrived dragged her off and well beat her, tortured her.
The process was the same for almost a month. Keep her chained up, torture, put her back, repeat. She was barely given food or water and if so it was forced down her throat to the point she would get sick. She was a bloody broken mess, she looked nothing like the super soldier like she was before. She resembled that tiny punk from Brooklyn from the malnourishment of her body, her head hung down her blonde hair covered in dried blood and dirt. She had given up so easily.
Maybe it was best to accept her fate. Cause no one noticed nor came for her. And soon they were going to put an end to her. Why bother fighting it now? Better she die then anyone else.
everything had gone to hell when peggy arrived. metaphorically speaking, though literal hell surely couldn’t be much worse than this. after she showed up to stop bucky from killing an informant she needed alive, he had been shot in the shoulder and peggy had sustained some nasty knife wounds to her side. “we’re gonna make it,” she hissed out, helping the man lean against the wall of the abandoned house they’d found. “i know you think i betrayed you but give me a—“ she winced heavily as she moved too quickly and pain flared up. “let me explain, barnes.”

" to be fair , given the situation that they were in , he wasn’t really trying to hear an explanation or an excuse from someone who had lost his trust . That and because the room was spinning and he wasn’t trying to pass out from the loss of blood . [ ✪ ] idk where this is going v.v should I be scArEd ?

“Bucky, it wasn’t your fault.” The blonde spoke up softly towards him. She was currently laying in a hospital bed, her neck in a brace and battered up badly. A couple machines beeped in the background as she tried to move her head to look at him. It ended up happening when he unclicked, luckily she had been able to snap him out of it, but the cost was her getting her neck nearly broken and battered up. He was too, but she had been holding back a bit.
Steph carefully reached over getting her hand on top of his gently. “It’s alright, I feel like it was all my fault, I pushed you.” She said softly towards him. She should’ve let him be, given him space, but instead she just sent him over the edge. “I couldn’t stop worrying over you so much.” She explained softly her baby blues looking up at the ceiling. “I should’ve given you space.” She whispered feeling tears fill her eyes for a moment. “But I was scared that you would be gone again.” She finally admitted, “That I would wake up one day without you again, just... just like those five years.” She added on finally admitting her own odd behaviors towards him.

Although when he saw zemo again and he repeated the words , it did not affect him , rather he was already falling down that hole again and even he felt himself snap . The help he got in wakanda wasn’t permanent , he was still pretty messed up . Too messed up that he lost control and sent his best friend to the hospital . " steph , it is my fault . " he said , a regretful look on his face . He was bruised up and had a few cuts here and there from when she fought back , which he stubbornly rejected getting treated because he knew he deserved it . " I’m so sorry , I’m so sorry . I don’t know what happened . I didn’t want to . "
"Bucky?" The brunette woman questioned with wild eyes, peering up at the man curiously. "I-its you? Its really you?"
