3. What is the future of the story?
          
          Well, there's a lot of things I could tell you... (Obviously! I know what's going to happen, after all!), but for now, all I'll say is that the completed story looks like it might be anywhere between 50-60 chapters. So, there's still plenty left to write. (After all, I've still got to bring a rather disgruntled soggy father figure in out of the cold). 
          
          Thank you to everyone who's stuck it out over the long break (especially KipMoore, ReepBeep and KobeniBestGirl. Your comments and support have been phenomenal!) and welcome to all the newcomers!
          I hope you enjoy the story!

And for the first time in nearly two years... Hello Everyone!
          
          It's been so long! I've missed you all so much! 
          I can't believe it's been almost two years since I last put virtual pen to virtual paper, but logging back on every so often throughout my extended hiatus, seeing so many old hands and new faces still supporting the story... it always makes my day. :)
          
          It's been a busy two years! (Although to be totally honest I don't remember much of it.)
          I completed my final year at university, wrote a dissertation on orbital mechanics, and graduated! I survived a few depressive and anxious spirals, but never gave up and always came back stronger. And most recently, got a job and am learning to drive whilst I work out what on Earth I'm going to do with myself! 
          
          In short... not dead. ;)
          
          Now, onto the answers to some important questions which I've seen a lot of across this conversation board and dotted throughout the comments:
          
          1. Am I still writing?
          
          Yes, absolutely. I'm determined to finish this story no matter what! And contrary to past experience, I do actually enjoy writing! It's just the sitting down and putting pen to paper which I've been struggling with!
          
          2. When can you expect new chapters?
          
          Honestly? No idea. But fortunately, it shouldn't take me too long to get back into the swing of things, and I've already spent the last few weeks re-familiarising myself with the story and looking through my notes. I've got a few partly written draft chapters I've been practicing on, and I'm hoping that once I get the next few chapters uploaded, you would never know I'd even stopped. ;)

That Resident Evil book is beautiful. I haven't got through all of it. But it's written well. Usually, I skim through books to see if it's worth it. But literally, the first page got me hooked. I love the book.
