Okay, so, a couple of people have asked me when I’m going to update, and here’s the lowdown:
My mom’s leukemia is incurable. We don’t know how long she’s going to be here. She’s looking into medically assisted death so that when the time comes, she will be able to pass with her family around and with dignity. This is a lot for me to take, and the anticipatory grief is intense and unending.
I’m not interested in medical advice, and I do not care if you’re a doctor/EMT/nurse/etc., you’re not HER doctor. Sorry if that sounds harsh but people get so weird and invasive when I talk about this so I’m trying to circumvent that. I’m just trying to be honest about what’s going on because a lot of you have been with me for years and I appreciate that a lot.
On top of this, I work a full-time job, I have a household to maintain, 8 hours of sleep to get, my author career is starting pick up, and I’ve got a marriage and social life to keep up with. Fanfic is at the bottom of the pile right now. Some days, I’m so exhausted that I just stare at the wall when I get home. Or I just cry.
I won’t be promising updates. They’ll happen when they happen and I’ll be updating whatever I want. I won’t force an update for any fic.
I appreciate everyone’s patience and kindness.
