Two strangers. Two broken hearts. One unexpected second chance.

Dr. Shivansh Mishra knows how to mend broken bones, but he has no cure for his own fractured past. After a love he thought would last forever left him guarded and hollow, he threw himself entirely into the sterile, predictable world of his hospital walls.

Across town, Prof. Gauri Acharya teaches her students about the grand, enduring romances of literature, even though her own belief in love was shattered years ago. Having survived a heartbreak that left her deeply cautious, she is content with her quiet life of books, lectures, and solitary tea.

When their well meaning families bring them together for an arranged marriage, Shivansh and Gauri say "yes", not out of a sudden spark of passion, but out of a quiet readiness to turn a new page in life.

But saying "I do" is the easiest part. Moving into a shared home as Do Anjaane Ajnabi (two unknown strangers) is where the real challenge begins.

From the crippling awkwardness of sharing a morning routine to the formal, polite conversations that feel more like board meetings than a marriage, Shivansh and Gauri must learn to navigate the fragile space between roommates and life partners.

Based on real events, Do Anjaane Ajnabi is a tender, slow burn, feel good romance about what happens after the wedding. It is a story of how an ice cold stethescope and a mountain of lecture notes can come together to rewrite the definition of home and love.

          Tropes:

          Arranged Marriage
          Second Chance Love
          Orthopedic Doctor × English Professor
          Healing Romance
          Slow burn romance
          Sunshine x Sunshine

Hey lovely readers!

I just wanted to let you know that life has been incredibly busy lately. Between everything going on, I haven't been able to give writing the time and focus it truly deserves.

I don't like rushing chapters just for the sake of posting. When I write, I want to be fully present and give the story, the characters, and all of you the attention they deserve.

Please bear with me a little longer. I promise that when the next chapter is posted, it will be worth it❤️

A viral article. A fake nikkah. One extremely chaotic girl. And one dangerously calm man trying not to fall in love.
When journalism student Inaya Rahman publicly humiliates famous businessman Aydan Mirza online, the internet becomes obsessed with them overnight.
To stop media scandals and protect both families from gossip, Aydan’s grandmother proposes a temporary nikkah contract.
          Rules?
No feelings. No interference. No real marriage behavior.
          Easy.
Until jealousy appears. Until midnight conversations become comforting. Until family dinners start feeling real. And until Aydan realizes the loud annoying girl who destroyed his reputation… somehow became the peace he was secretly searching for.
A halal slow-burn Muslim romcom filled with:
✨ Chaotic comedy ✨ Jealous male lead ✨ Emotional family moments ✨ Hinglish banter ✨ Protective husband energy ✨ Islamic reminders ✨ Fake marriage trope ✨ Rich boy x middle class girl ✨ Slow burn romance ✨ Heart-touching dialogues

The next chapter of HTP is full of heavy emotions and intense moments… and honestly, I felt every single emotion while writing it. ❤️

It took me longer than expected to finish because I wanted every scene to hit exactly the way I imagined, and now that it’s almost done, I genuinely love how it turned out.

I can’t wait to share it with you all and read your reactions/comments once it’s out.
