Regarding our conversation you said you have already begun working on another. Is it another Pricefield? Because you have captured them so perfectly in a story like no one i can't even fathom reading someone else's fan fiction of them. i cant wait to see your results i know they will stunning. especially since all the episodes are out. i hate to ask but my curiosity is burning to know... will there still be smut and fluff? dont spoil it for me. :)

@itsjustmyskin Thank you very much. I am not unfamiliar with the themes the new story has going, which I think you will the first to hear about. The category can be said to fall under Psychological Thriller along the way, as it focuses on moral and ethics. Of course romance has a part to play as well and there will be those Pricefield moments, but contrary to "Chrysalis" it will play a part throughout of the story, rather than being the main-focus.

The story will contain shorter, but a lot more chapters. I have no idea how many it will eventually add up to, but it will definitely be more than 4. However, I plan on adding the chapters over time as I have a long way before the story is actually finished.

Now, I originally planed for it to be an sort of AU where the story takes place in an alternative timeline, but the end of episode 5 fits well with the plot I had in mind, so the story will take place after the events of episode 5. This is of course a little sketchy, given that there are multiple endings, but without spoiling anything, one of the endings gave me the opportunity for the story to take place after episode 5.

I greatly appreciate that you enjoy what I have written so far. It really makes me feel glad. I of course hope you will enjoy my new story as well, but as I have implied, I didn't write it as a sequel to "Chrysalis" it's a completely new story and it will most likely not have the same feel. So that might disappoint some people, but hopefully they can find satisfaction in another Fanficiton :)

Thanks again, I love getting questions, so don't worry!

@workard i can't wait to see what you have came up with! you have great talent and reading a much more fulfilled story will be more of your expertise i think. Will it be more drawn out? I loved the length of your chapters, but the lack of number of chapters was my downfall. But almost every day i read your story because it just draws me in so well. I hate to ask so many questions and bother you but will this be an AU or based off of the game?

@itsjustmyskin I have begun working on another, yes, and it is a Pricefield story. However, the story will focus less on their romantic relations and more on the plot I have been working out. There would be no point for me– personally- to write another LiS story that is too similar to the first one. It will have some new themes and elements and people might get put off because it's not what they were looking for, but hey, I have to experiment :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! The story will contain mature content, but it might get presented in a different way. The publish date is still very much up in the air. I hate to say it, but I'll be honest, I am not writing the new story in an attempt to satisfy everyone, but rather to get my ideas into a story. Of course I hope people will still like it, but I imagine some people will dislike it as well, but that's fine :)

Thanks for the comment and the questions!

@AnthonyNicholas I can understand that, but the memories are worth something. All they went through might not have happened in the timeline Max ends up in, but it still happened and Max can continue to live on, knowing the heroic actions Chloe took to save the lives of many. I think she is proud and she will live her life remembering the presence of her friend, the adventures they went though and she will reminisce about those times and I believe it will give her hope and a sense of meaning; knowing that Chloe died as the hero she always knew she was.

Workard

@AnthonyNicholas That is quite the question. I was torn when I had to make the decision, as Chloe had been to priority throughout most of the game and mostly everything Max did, was to save her. So why shouldn't you save her in the end? Well, I sacrificed Chloe and I have no regrets. I initially wanted to do everything to save her and was even prepared for the choice that would come, but she genuinely spoke as if she wanted Max to save Arcadia Bay. The way I see it, she felt weak and felt as if she was a burden. She regretted that she kept pointing fingers and wanted one last chance to redeem herself. At that moment, I didn't look at it from Max's perspective, but from Chloe's. She loved her mom and sometimes even David. For once, she wanted to give something back them and all the others. She felt as if it was her destiny and the choice wasn't really mine at that point. So if I was Max, I would accept the consequences and tear away my own emotions for the people of Arcadia Bay and for Chloe.

@AnthonyNicholas I agree that they could have provided a few more scenes in the "Save Arcadia Bay" ending, but I believe they implied more than enough. The kiss wasn't extremely necessary– though it would've been nice- as the situation caused for both of them needing a friend to have their back, rather than a romantic relation.
This ending wasn't the end for these two, so therefore they left it somewhat open. The priority of that ending wasn't to show how everyone dealt with what happened, but rather how Max and Chloe would always stand together, but to be honest, I am kind of torn in regards to that ending.
It seems to hint a long, yet struggling life for them both as they implied that most of the characters were dead and it was Max's choice that caused this. So I can either lean towards "Their friendship goes on and might evolve into something more" or "Max will have to live the rest of her life with the burden of her choices and the thought of not letting Chloe fulfill her destiny" either scenarios are beautiful and haunting in my opinion.

I do not know if they did indeed rush the ending or if they intended for it to be that way. Leaving an open ending is a often a symbol of experiences to come, so while it may not be as satisfying, it most definitely begged the question of what love is worth. This could however be done in with the inclusion of a few more scenes and in a more satisfying way, but I think the point came across. Nevertheless, I definitely understand your frustration.

This is of course what I believe, I do not know their actual thoughts behind the ending(s).

Workard

@AnthonyNicholas Hey. I recently finished it, yeah.
First off, thank you for the message. There is a few different ways to describe my feelings on how the story played out, but the key-point is, that it's their story. They created the game and they created the story, therefore it would be unfair to say anything was "wrong" with it– not that it would though.
To be honest, I don't have a major amount of thoughts about the story– nor the endings- since it was quite clearly laid out. What I found rather noteworthy though, was the way they played around with the chaos of reality to make everything seem hopeless and scary, making the player hunger for order and peace. They place you in a situation you want to get out of, while reminding you what your motivation is throughout. It was brilliantly done, but I just miss the "order of chaos" rather than just chaos. A lot of the things were never explained and I'm sure there are plenty of holes in the story; they threw us off, making us think with our feelings rather than logic. I would prefer if they managed to make us think with both. Nevertheless, they definitely delivered the impact I was hoping for in the end. The final choice was not a huge surprise, but it didn't need to be with the way they built it up.
Also, needless to say, I enjoyed that they didn't try to hint the fact that Max truly loved Chloe (more than friendship) but rather laid it out in the open. Of course, choices could affect how Max felt about her, but they rewarded the people who made their choices with an outcome in mind.
The platform for the story was simple, but they added a lot of creative twists to catch us off guard, the story was also heart-felt and sad, but in a justified way.
It left me with the feeling I grave for: The feeling of wanting more, but still accepting that it is over. That empty feeling that really makes you reflect on your own life. I personally enjoyed the story to an enormous extent.

@5ralt0frvia Hi! It's no problem; I enjoy reading comments. Thanks for reading my story and I appreciate that you would like to see more of my work, but honestly, I can't recommend any of my other stories. The other works I have published on this site are years old– before I felt I had gotten the hang of writing. I am in the progress of writing another Life is Strange fanfiction, but other than that, I think you would best of finding another author. If you haven't already, you could read "My Blue Haired Rebel" by AkiTheKitsune. It's supposedly quite good. Sorry about that, but I am not particular proud of my older stories :)
          Thanks again for your support!

JoeHaselhoef

Thanks for the life is strange fic. It was a good heartwarmer while waiting forbthe next episode to come. I really hope they make a romance option with Chloe in the game.☺

Workard

@JoeHaselhoef I am glad that my words could preoccupy you for a while and I really appreciate that you took the time to read the story. I do hope to see a little more romance in the game as well, but so far they are during a really good job at showing te depth and importance of Max's and Chloe's friendship, so I have no complaints :)
Also, thank you for the message. I hope you'll have a good day :)
