Hello! this goes out to all the Authors and Readers of Wattpad so please can you give me a minute of your day so you read this. Recently I have been on Wattpad a lot and I have seen users being so rude and inconsiderate to Authors. Users demanding updates and when they don’t get there way they start to harass Authors to the point that many Authors just give up on the story and quit Wattpad. When we should be helping and lifting them up with positive and honest feedback cause what these users fail to realize is that Authors have their own personal life and sometimes life gets extremely stressful. It’s why many of us come to Wattpad either it being Authors writing amazing stories to Readers losing ourselves in these books. At the end we all just want to disconnect for reality even if it’s only for a few minutes to read an update. It’s also very upsetting when Authors bring up these issues and not many people care and these users still keep demanding updates. Sadly there are more issues like bullying, hate, stealing content, and just harassing Authors when a story isn’t going how they wanted it to go. Which is why I have decided to make a community to Protect Authors. Main purpose is to help Author either it being from bullying to helping them out with stories if they request it. I do want to creat a community to help but I will not promote hate or bullying which is why I will need help in reporting and getting these hateful comments off amazing stories. I know there will be many issues and I know I am not in any way prepared but I hope you all can help me make Wattpad a safe platform again.
