During the pandemic I discovered fan-fiction as a form of escapism. I started reading it, then writing it, and soon found I had thousands of words and no intention of stopping. So, fair warning, my chapters tend to be massive. That won't be to everyone's taste, but it's so much fun for me to just keep writing whatever and however much I want. 

With regards to the fic itself, these are obviously not my own characters or world. All rights to the original intellectual property goes to J. K. Rowling. My work is pure fan-fiction fun, and written in an entirely good-faith, transformative nature. 

With regards to the political opinions of JKR - I in no way support them. Trans rights are human rights. Today, tomorrow, forever. I have made the personal decision to no longer support JKR in any financial way. However, I also understand that proceeding to write a fan-fiction based off of her creation, and putting it online, may therefore seem hypocritical, and to be quite honest with you, I struggle with this as well. I suppose that the way I am currently justifying this to myself is that although there is no way to entirely seperate the author from the original work, fan-fiction is, to me, the closest we as fans can come. By carving new stories out of an old world, we in many ways begin to claim it as our own outside of the author's intent and opinions. In our fan-worlds, we can make characters look, sound and behave the way we wish they might've. We can create the world as we wish it was, rather than have it, and its political opinions, forced upon us. It's a little bit radical, if you think about it. 

When I think of fan-fiction, I think of creativity, power, fun and love, and that's the sort of energy I hope you also find in my work. It's the energy we need in the world, now more than ever I think.
