~ I have been a professional writer since 1980. I live near the ocean in Rhode Island with my yacht captain husband, Nicholas, and our mischievous furbabies, Tim and Holly.

~ My hobbies include reading, writing meditations, making jewelry, collecting seaglass, leaf peeping in autumn, creating collages and journals, constructing dollhouses and miniature roomboxes and watching "Downton Abbey" and "Sherlock" on PBS.

~ I love all the Harry Potter books and have watched the movies probably a thousand times. My favorite characters are Luna, Hagrid and Snape. (And I brew my own Butterbeer.)

~ I am a vegetarian who would like to be a vegan but I love cheese and ice cream too much.

~ I am the founder of Austen Sharp LLC, Aura House School of Color and Light, Kid Filmmakers and the annual Color Therapy Month in March.

~ I worked for cable and public television programs in Washington, DC and was the editor-in-chief of several magazines and newspapers in New England.

~ I was the founder of a national writers organization and three writers conferences. I continue to present writing workshops and retreats online.

~ I am a certified color therapist, spiritual aromatherapist, crystal worker, radio host and producer.

~ I am currently writing "Mad About Hue: a memoir in living color" and "Inn Lak'ech", a YA visionary fiction novel about soul families.
