I come from the slash/slash generation. You know, we don’t have just one career anymore, we have a plethora of them, often simultaneously. Such as Bar Manager/Student, Marketing Manager/Artist/Photographer, Consultant/ Teacher/Web Designer. I’ve been all those people.

Right now I’m trying on the role of Artist/Writer/Mummy (or Artist/Writer/Chef/Cleaner/Chauffeur/Dog Walker/Teacher/Wife/Mother to be precise), spending five days a week as a stay-at-home mum and two days writing novels and painting abstracts.

It’s challenging, tiring, exhilarating, but above all it’s fun.

For 2013 I decided life wasn't busy enough and I set myself a new challenge - to write a daily blog including installments of a brand new novel. Thus 'Two-Hundred Steps Home' was born. It follows the adventures of Claire as she is forced to visit each of the 200 YHA hostels in England and Wales. The novel is available daily on my blog or monthly on Smashwords. Volume 1, 2 and 3 are now available, containing all installments from January to March.
