Hello, there! I’m a new writer, and I have completed a YA dystopian novel offline for publishing purposes. However, I’m having a lot of trouble with self-editing my novel, and I could really use a second pair of eyes on my work. My biggest issue is reducing the word count that I currently have (which sits over 100k words, and I really need to reduce that word count to make it acceptable debut material for literary agents outside of Wattpad). hey, everyone, i am finally back! I have way too many notifications to be able to respond to everyone, so if I don't respond to an urgent notification or request, feel free to let me know! 
          
          although I am back, I will not be active after this post, as summer is ending and my schedule is packed tight for the fall/winter season. additionally, i've been considering closing Essie's Critiques for good, as 122 parts is pretty long, and i've found several issues with my system and rules. 
          
          Instead, I may be opening an Essie's Critiques 2.0! Please let me know what you think below; any feedback or suggestions are welcome! I'll try my best to reply when I can.
