Working on my first full novel. "The Codex of Desire" -- a tale of love, war, lust, obsession, secrets, and betrayal among intelligent feathered theropod dinosaurs in the Late Cretaceous era, as viewed through the eyes of a modern human paleontologist who has inadvertently tapped into the memories stored in an alien mental artifact unearthed with a pair of entwined theropod dinosaur skeletons. Everybody wants somebody they shouldn't and everybody has an agenda (although some characters are more selfless than others): Ev'ora, the High Chieftess of the Tribes of the Inspiration, schemes to win the love of Tir'at and thereby rekindle her failing fertility;  Tir'at, captured warrior/scribe of the Culture of the Word, is utterly repulsed by Ev'ora but falls hard in love-at-first-sight with La'leet, a beautiful but shallow poetess from the village of his enemies; and Girn'ash, the servant girl so low-ranked that she doesn't even have a full name, loves Tir'at in silence -- but will do absolutely anything to ensure that he both wins the one he loves and survives the cruel designs of Ev'ora. Together they are a chemical combination volatile enough to bring about the end of a civilization, and ultimately... well, let's just say that there are an awful lot of corpses, including the ones that the human paleontologist will discover 67 million years later.
