I understand if fantasy is not your preferred genre. I just have to say aside from horror it is mine. I grew up reading the quintessential horror novelist and Stephen King is my all time favorite. I fangirled outside his house once in Bangor. The reason I thought you might like the story is that I write somewhat like him, in an easy going manner, and my protagonist is a young guy. Too often these days the protagonist is a woman or girl, but what can I say it is the age of the Katnisses. He bring's a young guys perspective to his world in a gritty kind of way. If you find the time to give the first few chapters a read, I'd love to get your take on the character. As for the reads they will come and I could probably PM you with some suggestions. Cheers.
