          Wrote a few more words today (approx 200). Was feeling lost with this particular scene - it didn’t have any purpose yet just slight indications of how things happening around are affecting the characters.
          I think these gentle peek into character emotions help us connect with them better - What do you think ?

          It’s Saturday and so I sat down wrote almost a 1000 words(yayyy). I mostly worked some military techniques that might have been used back then and you know the biggest struggle of all while writing an Indian Historical Fiction is that we as writers get stuck with digging what existed back in times. 
          Do you consider the historical accuracy while reading a historical fiction or you just take it as pure Fiction?

          And I think that's fitting.
          Because after months of silence, I'm finally ready to return---not as who I was, but as someone still growing, still unsure, but still in love with storytelling.
          Some of you knew me as 'Barkha'.
          I'm still her, but also something more.
          This new story isn't just a plot. It's years of what I never said, characters I once buried, and feelings I thought would fade.
          I'm writing AGAIN. SLOWLY. CAREFULLY. HONESTLY. And everything you'll read now is---

          Long time!! but I have been reading all your messages and watching people adding 'Maadhavi' to their reading list; it elates my heart to see people finding the story good enough to be added to reading lists.
          
          Ok, now coming to the reasons why I stopped updating the chapters .
          There are basically two:
          A- I am a 9-5 girlie and busy on weekdays , left with weekends , I wish to spend that time outside with people. So, sitting and writing becomes a secondary thing for me which often gets pushed down my priority.
          B - This is the major reason btw, I have not been liking my own story. I couldn't figure which direction I want the characters to head towards. So, I tried to write, rewrite and rethink.
          Ultimately I decided to take a break and first figure out the whole outline of the story and once I am satisfied that this is going to be my story then only I'll be back. But I have been having this urge to share my thoughts with you all. Thanks for all your support and sweet messages (grateful) .
          
          I am working on rewriting this story, the character names might be same but the plot might change. Rest assured it will be a Historical Fiction romance.

          So, I recently came across this story by an Indian writer here on Wattpad. It's called Vikramsamhita.
          
          I think you should check it out, it's set almost in same era as your Maadhavi but it has a twist if sci-fi in it.
          
          I just thought that maybe you could check it out to take some inspiration for the development of plot, storyline, world of that time and obviously make and female leads.
          
          I really like how the authoress has built a beautiful and mesmerizing world, I'm sure you'll love it too. Just check it out once.
