Somehow time has really gotten away from me.  According to my notes the last time I worked on the Infinity Box was August of 2023.  That can't be right, can it?  With the ONC rapidly approaching, I'm probably about to get sidelined again for a few months, so I thought I should try to do something with what is supposed to be my main project.  So for the first time in a while I have posted a new chapter of the Infinity Box.

For the second time I participated in the Writer's Relay.  This time we did an interdimensional adventure called "Chasing the Jahnjili."  Chapter 1 is up now and a new one will be posted every other day until Christmas.  My contribution will be chapter 7, but you'll want to start at the beginning to get the full story. I had a busy day yesterday, so was pleasantly surprised to check out Wattpad today and be greeted by a bunch of congratulations notifications.  For a second there I was wondering what people were congratulating me for, but then I realized that the ONC shortlist had been announced and that my story Unbridled Fury (and Relentlessly Furry) was included on it.   
          
          Congrats to all who made the shortlist, but also to all who participated and completed a story.  In the end that's the real prize.  I never seem to win any of these contests, and I have no idea what's going to resonate with the judges in any given year.  All you can really do is try to write something you're happy with, and at least I can say I did that this year.  Making any sort of long lists or short lists is just gravy.  I'll take it, but mostly I'm just happy to have finished a story.

I just wanted to let you know that your book was used for this event where players are given the blurb of a book and try to guess its real first sentence. They’ll write what they think could be the opening line, and then everyone guesses which one is real.

Just in time for Easter my bunny tale is complete!  It was a pleasure to participate in the ONC this year.  Now that I'm finished writing Unbridled Fury (and Relentlessly Furry) I'm going to try to catch up a little bit on reading.  Good luck to all who are participating,

Chapter 13 of my ONC story Unbridled Fury (and Relentlessly Furry) is now posted.  This one is aptly titled "The Big Showdown."  It takes me past 19,000 words and almost wraps things up.  One more chapter ought to do it.
