I need you guys' help. To all my werewolf/vampire book lovers, I specifically mean you.
A long time ago there was this book I read that I was absolutely crazy about. I was so sure I had added it to my library because it was still being updated then, but I cannot seem to find it.
I can't really remember the name of it. Though I am sure it had "mate" in the title (maybe). The cover was of a girl (it was drawn out I believe) with a red highlight of a wolf overlapping it.
It was about a girl named Angel. She was born in a werewolf family, but had not yet shifted. She was very small and super innocent and childlike despite being uber smart. And I'm talking, building a robotic arm for someone who needed one smart. Her mother was actually quite like her.
She had many older brothers and I think maybe 1 or 2 older sisters.
She met her mate at school by him almost hitting her on her bike with his car (or maybe he'd just seen it happen). I cannot for the life of me remember his name.
Angel was made fun of and kind of bullied by her peers, but she had an older best friend who always looked out for her. That friend even had a vampire for a mate.
Angel was special in other ways and it had been revealed she had been experimented on when she was little after disappearing in the woods. She met a boy in the experiments names Johna (I think that's how it is spelled). It is because of this, or her mother's genetic side of the family, Angel is different in other ways. She just seems to have a way of knowing about something. Also because of this, her family -especially her brothers, are super protective of her.
And there was one scene I remember in particular where she bought a dog shock collar, put it on her mate, and zapped him with it (absolutely hilarious).
That is about all I can remember.
I would really love to go back and reread it. So if you know of it or know of a book you believe might be it, please message me.
