So I just had the cutest ( dirtiest) thought for a Shikamaru x Reader. In most of the Shikamaru x Reader fanfics I've read, he tends to use you to rid of his sad emotions, in fluffy and lemony ways. So what if Choji was in the hospital in critical condition, and Shika was angry at the person who hurt Choji, and sad that his friend was hurt. And you came to visit him, not knowing his parents weren't home due to a trip. You offered to cuddle on the couch, and gave him a peck on the lips, but he didn't let you back away. It turned into a makeout session. You know what happens from there. And then Choji opens the door, and witnesses what was happening, and ran back out. He never saw poor Shikamaru the same again...

What about y/n being normal not a ninja but gets close to choji and shika by bringing them  snacks and just being nice and one day shes not feeling good and choji sets against a tree an y/n sits sideways on his lap with his arm around her and shika lays in her lap while she plays with his hair.....u could make it super fluffy or super dirty from that point. -that is if you wouldn't mind, i know you are super swamped but i adore how well you write you r amazing-
