Hey guys, I have a situation I would like to voice
Today is my birthday and I was out with my parent, they were going to take me out so we could spend time together.
So there a shop called John Lewis we went to, however as soon as we walked up to the entrance, the security came up to us.
What the hell. I was so confused and so were my parents.
Apparently, they claimed that my parents had stolen a jacket a few days ago. We had not visited the shop in a year and had never purchased a jacket from there.
We thought it was a joke a first but it go to the point where he would not let us in and would not explain why he thought we had stolen something.
He then told us there was CCTV footage us them stealing. Like hell there was for god sake if we were never there how the heck does he have footage!?
He refused so show the so called ‘footage’ so we wanted to speak to the manger (ik we were being proper Karen’s but if someone accuses you of something you haven’t done you have to stick up for yourself)
So he refused to get the manager and tell us his name - just said some code name.
I then just snapped. I honestly could not deal with how rudely he spoke to me. My mum. My dad. And how he wrongly accused us of something we would never do.
Now after a while he came back saying:
Sorry you aren’t the ones in the footage it was a mistake.
Look. I’m not just gonna let it go. The way he handled the situation was disgusting and embarrassing- he made us out as criminals in front of a crowd of people, I was actually glad I had a mask to cover my face for once, that’s how bad it was.
After all that I just started crying. After I started crying my mum got MAD AS HELL and I’m sure the dude knew he’d messed up badly. It was my birthday and I don’t think crying was an amazing day to start it of - my mum literally said
‘The fact that you can bring a person to tears when they are not involved, and on a special occasion, you need to reconsider you profession and speech.
