/ i fear not enough people understand how powerful gambit can be at full power. since he went out of his way to essentially get lobotomized to dampen his powers, it makes me wonder about how much he would worry for rene, who ended up with the same mutation
being able to manipulate kinetic energy is kind of. a lot. i believe there are different versions of gambit regarding what he's capable of, but as a concept, i think it would be more than just turning potential energy into kinetic energy. HOWEVER. even with just that ability, at full power, given enough time to charge it, he could literally blow up the planet if he chose to
i'm gonna expand on rene's powers when i'm done contemplating the possibilities, because i also want to consider rouge's mutation and how that could potentially tie into gambit's. like, i'm not sure if gambit is capable of uncharging things, especially if he didn't create the energy, but rene probably will be able to. so, not only blow up the planet but could also just. stop it

/ OHH. touching on the previously mention concept of her coming back in time, that will be a little complicated. time travel often is. so it'll be a situational thing depending on the interaction

/ as an adult, i'd say she's considerably more proud to be a mutant. now it just kinda pisses her off that she has to hide herself. she has definitely spoken out about considering magneto's way when she got a little too angry about the situation (during a time it got particularly violent), but. she loves her family too much to stand against them, blood related or otherwise

/ also, regarding the mutation in her eyes (same black and red as remy), she does have a point in her teen years where she hates having them. mostly obv due to the way society generally treats mutants, so while if it was just her powers, she could blend in perfectly fine with the public, the fact that she has a physical mutation outs her. pretty obvious if you pay attention that those aren't contacts. she can and will wear sunglasses, but the fact she feels the need to hide part of herself like that is pretty bad
