@Purple_Pirate23 Ash's stubborn attitude is so great!!! Yeah, it's such a bittersweet ending but I eventually came to terms with it after realizing Ash was finally able to find peace!! The thought of Eiji saving him does warm my heart tho!! Beautiful ending nontheless <3

I know exactly what you mean. I had a total Banana Fish Depression, too. I never got attached to a fictional character this much. And I couldn’t decide if I hate the ending or love it since it was so beautifully animated. I just wanted to read a story where Eiji saves Ash but I never found one so I started to write one myself. But since that was my first story I kind of underestimated how much work that is.  I’m currently writing a chapter where they fly to Japan together. And I really love to describe Ash’s stubborn attitude. 

@Purple_Pirate23 Heck yeah!! I've been looking for a story to lift my spirits from the 'Banana Fish Depression'™, and your story really helps honestly!! Idk it was so weird how hard Ash's death hit me, I usually don't get as emotional as I did, I guess I just got really attached to him  But I really like your story so far and I'm excited to read more
