Anyone want a sneak peek to my first chapter of a new book I'm writing? I could use some critique.

I’d like a moment to mourn the loss of a loyal follower of my book, @kab00m_stix, who sadly died yesterday (from what i’ve been told). Although we weren’t acquainted in real life, she still made my day with her wacky comments on my book. She was (if not the first) one of my first readers, and had stayed following the book, even after my multiple breaks. So kab00m, May god rest your soul, you will be dearly missed by me, and your other friends.
