Hey there @XenseiDboy

First off, hooray to you for putting yourself out there—sharing your work takes real courage, especially at 17.

It’s clear you’re passionate about your story, and the genres you’re exploring in Domefall Odyssey sound like a fun mix of sci-fi and deep worldbuilding. (Though… dystopian and apocalyptic is not my tea).

That said, I just wanted to point something out: self-promoting in general forums or comment sections can come off as spammy and often doesn’t get the kind of attention you’re hoping for.

I totally get the urge to be seen (we’ve all been there!), but the truth is, readers are more likely to check out your work when it’s shared through the right channels, like clubs and tags (that’s how readers find your story if their liking).

Focus instead on crafting the story you’re proud of, picking tags so your work can reach the right audience. Knowing the heart of your story and being passionate about it makes a huge difference. You’ll grow naturally with time and consistency.

Also, consider checking out clubs like the Dreamland Community—it’s a great place to connect with fellow writers. I’m part of it myself (though not super active lately because life’s been busy). It’s a space where you can improve, find readers, and have fun.

Don’t stress over being buried under other genres. Instead, hone your grammar, formatting (especially for mobile readers—makes a big difference), and storytelling. Most of all, enjoy the process!

Keep going, and don’t lose your spark ✨

P.S - Write for yourself first, edit for readers second. It’s how readers will enjoy your story.

P.P.S - Don’t take it the hard way, I left notes on my profile that I don’t allow self promote including reading requests. My time is limited.

          AJ

@AJQwrites I appreciate and thank you for your tips and feedback. I'll definitely check out the dreamland community. Thanks for the encouragement as well. I hope you have a enjoyable and prosperous weekend.

Hello, I see you're new to Wattpad. Welcome!

If you're looking for a place to hang out with fellow Wattpad authors, share your book, or participate in book clubs, there is a Wattpad Dreamland discord server that's open to everyone.

          https://discord.gg/dreamlandcommunity

There is a section for sharing books near the bottom (please only post in the proper channels!), and there are plenty of channels to talk about writing in general. (Many people mute some/most of the discord channels since there are so many things going on.)

          Have an awesome day!
          Crystal

@CrystalScherer thanks so much. I have finished chapters in the double digits but I'm still polishing, and was told to post a chapter a week consistently. I appreciate your time you took to read my story. Have a nice day. I will also be open to tips and advice.

For grammar and stuff, yours is pretty good. I do have some more advanced tips in my Tips for Writing on Wattpad guide if you're looking for more things to learn.

@XenseiDboy
I see that your profile says your 17, so you're doing pretty good for an early start, and a lot will come with experience and reading published books as you compare how they started theirs.
My recommendation is to keep writing and learning, and if you're still in high school, once you have 10 chapters or so, ask your English teacher for feedback.
