Just a normal day. Normal people. Normal weather. Everything was normal until my English teacher gave the class a single sheet of paper to write on. I hadn't thought much about it and just continued to doze off while seemingly pretending to listen to whatever she's saying, but I had caught a few words here and there "a one page essay"..."30 minutes"...."what is life". Those last words had caught my attention. What is life? I pondered. I tried to think of what to write but came up empty. Looking around, everyone seems to have an answer already, as they scribble and scribble, Filling the classroom with the sound of tapping and scratches. Looking back to my blank paper, I tried to think of an answer. What is life? Is it simply breathing? Or is something more? Just then, a though came to me, but as fast as it came to me, it vanishes right at the back of my head. What had I thought? I had forgotten, just like what I do every time I think. From my musing, I barely heard my teacher saying that we had 10 minutes left to write the essay. Has it been that fast? I haven't wrote anything yet! for the last five minute, I tried to write something, anything, but every time I wrote something down, I would just end up erasing it, and by the time we passed our papers down, I had only written one word "Emotions". Yup, I'm pretty sure I just bombed that essay. Woe is me.
