@takatsu Better than Steins;Gate and like a Hayao Miyazaki work but darker? How have I misses this jewel of animes? I must go check it out right now! Slow-pacing in the beginning doesn't bother me that much as long as I know it gets better, so I'll definitely stick with it! Psychopass is actually on my summer list, so now I'm looking forward to it even more! Oh, and have you seen Puella Magi Madoka Magica? If not, I definitely recommend watching that too!

@XxKateNekoxX OMG. YOU MUST WATCH SHIN SEKAI YORI. It was the most mind-blowing of all the anime titles I mentioned. I actually thought it was a greater masterpiece than Stein's Gate. It's like Hayao Miyazaki ish but darker, more philosophical and eerie. Pacing is a little slow ish in the beginning but trust me , it's totally worth it. The end will blow your mind. As well, Psychopass is like Stein's Gate but more concrete, more action, more gore and even more directly psychological and philosophical. It's amazing as well. I'll check out Kino's Journey!

@takatsu I know, I've read 1984 a couple of times and each time I reread it I am still shocked at just how modern and relevant it feels! STEINS;GATE IS WONDERFUL! It is one of the few animes where I actually liked all the characters, and it was one of the rare few where none of the characters fell heavily into any stock character category. I know what you mean on the whole manga thing, but I must admit that I have a soft spot for shojo manga when I've had a long day and need to relax. I've seen a few of those animes (Attack on Titan, Steins;Gate, Angel Beats, CLANNAD, Anohana, No.6, SAO, Haruhi Suzumiya, K-On, Kimi ni Todoke, Noragami and Kokoro Connect), and I won't lie you've got some pretty good titles there, I'll have to check out the others :D Have you heard of Kino's Journey? It's not very well-known, but it has a lot of philosophical ideas in so I think you'd like it :)
