So, for whatever reason, I got a notification but can't actually find the comment you left about how Mark and the reader need to sit down and talk.
I just wanted to reply to it.
There is a reason things have happened the way they did. There is a reason for the whiplash feeling and everything has been planned meticulously. Also, with every intention of publishing a book from Mark's POV of the entire series, it will open things up, making the reader able to see from both perspectives and it'll help answer a lot of questions that were still left untouched even after the end of TMF3.
